The Buckner Home, Shoes for Orphan Souls has
distributed more than 1.8 million pairs of new shoes to at-risk children in the
US and to orphans in 68 countries around the world.

Children's provides patient care ranging from
simple eye exams to specialized treatment in areas such as heart disease,
hematology-oncology and cystic fibrosis. In addition, Children's is a major
pediatric kidney, liver, intestine, heart and bone marrow transplant center. As
the primary pediatric teaching facility for The University of Texas
Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, the medical staff at Children's conducts
research that is instrumental in developing treatments, therapies, and greater
understanding of pediatric diseases.

Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC)
provides comprehensive services of counseling, investigation, and therapy for
abused children. The mission of the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center is to
improve the lives of abused children in Dallas County and provide national
leadership on child abuse issues.

Dallas Children’s Theater is a professional
theater serving more than 270,000 young people and their families through its
11 main stage productions, national touring company, and education and outreach
programs. As the only major organization in Dallas focusing solely on youth and
family theater, DCT builds bridges of understanding between generations and
cultures, instilling an early appreciation of literature, art and the
performing arts in tomorrow’s artists and patrons.

The mission of the Dallas Heritage Village,
previously Old City Park, is to preserve structures, artifacts and other
historical materials related to the history of Dallas.It is located in Old City
Park, just south of downtown. Nestled in among trees and winding sidewalks on
about 9 acres are 38 historic buildings from Dallas and the north Texas area
that show and tell the history of Dallas form 1840 to 1910.

The North Texas Food Bank was established in 1982 to address the critical issue of hunger in the North Texas area by securing donations of surplus unmarketabl, but wholesome, foods and grocert products for distribution through a network of charitable organizations dedicated to feeding the hungery in 13 North Texas Counties, including Dallas, Denton, Collin, Fannin, Rockwall, Hunt, Grayson, Kaufman, Ellis, Navarro, Lamar, Delta and Hopkins. |

Orpheus is a
group of performers that sing in church choirs or teach in universities in the
area. They perform as
Orpheus Chamber
Singers 5-6 times a years for their patrons. They bring in groups of students
from Dallas and Fort
Worth to
experience the music and teach them about it. The group was formed 15 years ago
and attendance grows
each year for
their concerts. |

The Friends of
the Katy Trail is a nonprofit organization founded to organize community

USO Dallas/Fort
Worth opened June 14, 2004 to serve the military community, and has
welcomed over 1 million service members since then. A non-profit organization, we are here to serve personnel in all branches
of the military- active duty, National Guard, reserve, retirees, and authorized
family members. All services provided at USO DFW are free to our guests
and are made possible by the generosity of the North Texas Community. |
